Halloween Week

It’s Halloween week!

We can’t wait to see everyone back at the studio and in costume!

Students are welcome to wear their scariest (or favourite) costumes to their classes at Lane Cove & Roseville Dance Academies for Halloween week, Monday 25th to Saturday 30th October.

We look forward to seeing you!

Return to Dance

We are very excited to let you know of our Return to Dance plan!

Our first day back, face to face in the studio will be Monday 25th October.

To allow us to return to the studios, as smoothly and safely as possible, please read our requirements below.

ALL staff, and students aged 16 and over, MUST demonstrate proof that they have been double vaccinated (or evidence of their medical exemption) upon entering the premises.

ALL staff, and students aged 16 and over, who are not double vaccinated will not be allowed on premises [clause 2.18 of the Public Health Order]. This is legislated strictly by the NSW government.

ALL staff, and students aged 16 and over, MUST check in using the Service NSW QR code before entering the premises. Students under 16 years of age are also encouraged to use the Service NSW QR code if they have a smart phone.

ALL students under 16 years of age may return to the studio if they are vaccinated or unvaccinated.

ALL staff, and students aged 12 years and over, must wear a mask when entering the building and in all common areas; hallways, dressing rooms, waiting areas & bathrooms. Students and teachers are no longer required to wear a mask while dancing. However, students should wear their mask into their studio and should wait until directed by their teacher before removing it. Students must put their mask on before leaving their studio; to exit the building, go to the bathroom or into dressing/waiting rooms.

Students aged 12 and over who attend the Academy without a mask will be given a mask to wear. A $2 fee will be added to your account and can be paid via your family portal.

All students under 12 years of age are also encouraged to wear a mask.

Inside we are limited to one person per 4sqm.  Social distancing is still important, especially at pick up and drop off times. Please be mindful of maintaining space around you when and where possible.

It is imperative that all staff, students, and parents DO NOT come to the studio if they are unwell or show even mild symptoms.

If any member of a student’s household tests positive for Covid-19 then Lane Cove and Roseville Dance Academies must be notified immediately and the student, nor anyone from the household, can come to the studio for 14 days, after which a negative test result must be produced.

Class attendance rolls as well as our COVID marshall check-in at LCDA, will be used for contact tracing and record keeping of students at the studio.

Should you be unable to attend our classes in person due to vaccination status, if you need to self-isolate or are feeling unwell, please let us know. We will continue to provide zoom access to all our classes for the rest of this year.

Please Note – you must let us know before 12pm on the day of your class, so that we can alert the teacher to log in to zoom.

Students will be collected by their teacher at the start of their lesson, from the Pacific Highway entrance. (Miss Grace’s Saturday Pre-Ballet, Ballet 1, Ballet 2 & Ballet 3 classes will use the car park entrance and will only be admitted to the building at their lesson time.)

Where possible students should arrive dressed & ready for their class. If students are arriving straight from school, they may enter the building 5mins before their lesson to change. Students must be able to dress themselves when they arrive.

No parents will be allowed in the Academy.

At the end of their lesson students will be brought back down to be collected from the Pacific Highway entrance at Roseville Dance Academy (Miss Grace’s Saturday Pre-Ballet, Ballet 1, Ballet 2 & Ballet 3 classes will use the car park entrance.)

Please note that classes may start a little late & finish a little early to allow the teachers to clean the studio in-between lessons.

Lane Cove & Roseville Dance Academy teachers will be following our COVID-19 Safety Plan in order to keep all students & staff safe and healthy.

If you ARE already enrolled in Term 4 classes (having paid your Term 4 invoice) you do not need to re-enrol. We have included you in our face-to-face classes, taking into consideration the 4sqm rule. We can’t wait to see you face-to-face from 25th October!

If you ARE NOT enrolled in Term 4 classes, or have not paid your Term 4 invoice, please email with the following details;

  • Students full name.
  • Class/es you would like to enrol in (e.g., Saturday Ballet 1 at Roseville).

Please DO NOT attend the Academy if you do not receive a confirmation email from us. Your child will not be able to participate in class.

Online Classes Term 3

Dear Parents and Students,

In light of the Government’s stay-at-home orders being extended until Friday 16th July, we will once again be coming to you in your living room! At this stage, we will be delivering online tuition for the first 5 days of Term 3 (Monday-Friday). We are hoping to be back in the studio from Saturday 17th July but will continue to follow NSW Health advice and will update parents if these plans change.

As per last year, classes will be modified for home settings, with teachers connecting with students via zoom.

Please take a minute to take a look at our Guide to Online Classes –

Online class links will be sent in the coming days. If you have not received your Zoom link by the morning of your class, please email us before 12pm,

Exam students will continue to work towards their examinations and some classes will begin their concert dances in preparations for our much-anticipated end of year performance.

It is of the utmost importance that we keep our dance community safe as well as active and engaged during this time. Some students will be anxious and the best thing we can offer is to keep them connected to classmates, teachers and to keep them physically active and doing the thing they love to do, DANCE!

Kind regards,

Jane Moran and Dianne Pokorny
